The ECONNECT partnership is characterised by a large number of partners with complementary competencies at the regional, national and transnational level and a very long tradition of cooperation.
The partnership can be described as a multidisciplinary team: regional and national administrations, international NGOs, scientific institutions as well as regional implementation partners (7 national parks). The scientific institutions are responsible for the assessment and analysis components of the project and they support the regional implementation partners within the pilot projects on ecological connectivity.
